LOUIS MICHEL EILSHEMIUS (AMERICAN, 1864-1942), OIL ON MASONITE, H 13 1/2" L 21 1/4":Depicting a woman hanging out wash with trees in foreground and rustic building in background. Signed lower left. Gilt frame. Also spelled Elshemus., as sometimes he left the letter 'I' out of his name. Frame: 21 3/8" x 29 1/4".
Condition
There are 2 nail holes in the board in the top 2 corners. There is wear to the gilt of the frame. Rf As viewed under UV light in the unopened frame: UV clean; 2 long, c. horizontal cracks on the right side; under glass with spacer between painting and glass. Rf, 4-5-2017
