LOUIS SOLON DECORATED PATE-SUR-PATE PORCELAIN PLAQUE, 1906, H 8 1/4", W 15 1/4":A rectangular deep green ground plaque; layered white slip of a central cloaked figure, probably an allegory of wisdom, standing in front of a column and plinth gate; numerous small owls roost in the leafy tree behind him, while eight classical styled ladies stand about holding empty cages and admiring the owls.
