After attending the Cincinnati School of Design, Daly worked for the Matt Morgan Art Pottery company before employment at Rookwood Pottery for nearly 20 years until 1903. Offering hand-painted holly branches with spring blossoms. Signed 'M.A.D./D' with adjacent numerical mark '507' and partial 'R' to the underside. Circa 1880. Provenance: Property of Prominent Collector, Birmingham, Michigan

Condition

When viewed under natural light, conservation with inpainting fluoresced to the interior and exterior of the lip. With fleabite nicks and subsequent losses to the bodice.
