MINTONS PATE-SUR-PATE PORCELAIN EXHIBITION PLATE BY LOUIS SOLON, 1878, DIA 9 1/4":Decorated in white slip with a muse fabricating a house of cards, while a mischievous putti threatens the creation near-by, the silver border decorated with a gold leaf and berry vine; decorated by Marc-Louis-Emmanuel Solon, signed; stamped in brown on the reverse with a fleur-de-lis and banner enclosing "Paris Exhibition 1878" above "Mintons" (see additional photo).
