MIRROR AND CARVED CORNICE ROSEWOOD FIREPLACE SURROUND, H 9' 4", L 6' 4", D 12.5":Opening size H 37", L 33.5". Rosewood with Satinwood inlays. Circa 1850. The size of the fireplace surround are height 52" and width 76". The height of the cornice is approx. 77" the width is approx. 73". The height of the cornice, without the decorative pediment at the top, is approx. 60".
Condition
The lower cabinets have been wired for electricity. This is in 2 pieces, the top cornice can be removed from the bottom fireplace surround. The pediment at the top of the cornice has been repaired. The repair is nicely done and is not noticeable from the front. The top of the mantle has some minor scratches from use. This is a beautiful piece.
