NICHOLSON SHIP LOG CO. BRASS SET OF THREE GAUGES WITH RECORDING DRUM, C. 1901-1905, ENCASED, H 28", W 20", D 9": Made in Cleveland. Nicholson ship's log and odometer, knot meter, with speed recoding drum and two key wind clock. All having brass cases. All mounted in a mahogany case with side glass panels and a brass plate mounted on top of a glass framed front access door inscribed: "Installed by Barrett and Lawrence Sole Eastern Agents, Philadelphia Pa., U.S.A. Brass patents plaque located inside door at lower right, on metal mounting plate. Clock is on top with knot meter lower left and log on lower right inside case. Purchased by Leo McPharlin from Nate Silverstein the steel company and salvage yard owner who purchased for salvage the de-commissioned Great Lakes steamer and excursion ship "Put-In-Bay" Contents from which this gage set was removed. Case size 28" H. x 20" W. x 9" D.
