The 'Reed' patterned vase is hand-decorated by O. Geneva Reed Pinney (American, 1874-1955), who decorated at Rookwood between 1890 and 1909, later marrying fellow Rookwood artist Matthew Daly. The vase is rendered in a umber brown to taupe matte glaze with wisteria motifs and speckled accents. Bearing signature 'RP' branding to the underside and artist's signature, alongside date 'X' (1910) and style number '932E'.
When viewed under natural light, crazing was observed throughout the vase.
