Evidence of restoration on verso.  JMF  (As viewed under UV light in the unopened frame:  appears to have had restoration in a  2" to 5" wide band along the entire width of the painting at the very bottom where there had been loss of paint [evidence of water damage showing on verso in that area as well] and there still are a couple of paint chips; restoration in a 3/4" to 1" wide vertical band going up from the middle of the house into the mountain beyond in the near UR; overall noticeable craquelure with some instability; patch in lower right with restoration on the recto; possibly a little more restoration as well - total amount of restoration in the painting maybe c. 15%; slight poke from the rear in the canvas in the sky in the UL; not lined; gilt period frame with minor nicks and restoration.  Please note that since the condition of the artwork is as viewed in the unopened frame, removal of it from its frame may or may not reveal additional condition considerations over and above any that have been previously stated.  Rf, 8-17-2017)
