PAUL NICOU, PATINATED METAL & MARBLE SCULPTURE, H 23", W 10":The figure of a French soldier, fitted to a red marble base. Impressed "Pour la patrie, les sciences et la gloire'. The sculpture measures H.19". Marked at the back with artist signature and signed additionally Grandhomme Andro Fondeur, 1898.
