PAUL WILHELMI, (GERMAN - AMER ) OIL ON CANVAS, 1887, PORTRAIT OF A SCOTTISH RITE MASON:Portrait of a bearded man, likely a Sovereign Grand Inspector General, standing with hand resting on a table and wearing a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason sash. Unframed. 

 
Paul Wilhelmi was a German American artist born 1858 in Dusseldorf; died 1943 in Detroit. Around 1911, during Wilhelmi's New York period, he went to Annapolis, and
painted portraits of a number of naval officers. One of these, a portrait of a naval chaplain, is currently in  the United States Naval Academy Museum in Annapolis.
