Pewabic white clay body. Yellow matte glaze over orange with crazing. Underside having circular Pewabic Pottery underglaze mark. Mrs. Stratton was one of, if not the first, potters to experiment with uranium glaze formulas. Her work with uranium predates Frederick Rheads' Fiestaware by almost two decades. Provenance: Property of a prominent metro Detroit collector of Pewabic Pottery.
