A collection of seventeen Samson reproduction painted porcelain dessert plates. Each offers a hand-painted polychrome lion crest to the perimeter accented with gilt trim. No maker's marks or branding observed to the undersides. From the collection of Dr A. Michael Prus and Judith Prus, Grosse Pointe Farms. Varying degrees of wear to the gilding. One plate having a repaired fracture throughout the plate. Two plates having heavy restoration and inpainting to the rim and crest.
