The 8-volume set of "The History of the Decline And Fall of the Roman Empire" by Edward Gibbon, ESQ, with notes by the Rev. H.H. Milman. Printed in Paris, France by Mme. Vc. Dondey-Dupre of Rue Saint-Louis, 46, au Marias. Dated 1840. With red leather binding to the spine with gilt embossing and marbled paper.

Condition

With edge wear to the leather binding and corners. Pale scattered foxing throughout the pages. With nicks, scuffs, and stains to the leather binding.
