The covers have 3/4 red leather binding and the spines have raised bands. The publisher is, " The Frederick J. Quinby Company", copyright right 1903. Some of the spines have slight wear to the top and bottom, but all the spines are intact. Two of the books have old stains to the covers and have a 1" area of missing leather in the lower right corner. Please note, there are only 42 books with this set NOT 50.
