Floral pierced openwork border. Theodore B. Starr was a company of silversmiths founded in New York in 1862 by Theodore Starr. Starr opened a luxury goods store at 206 Fifth Avenue. An article published in the New York Times on December 20, 1890, declared that "Starr’s establishment… has no duplicate in this country, and probably not in the world". Total weight: 5.46 troy ounces. Provenance: Property of a Bloomfield Hills, MI private collector.
