Two carved Carrara marble sculptures by the American artist Thomas Ball. Signed T. Ball on the backs and dated 1868 and 1873. Includes two white marble pedestals with black veining, having heights of 40". Provenance: Kennedy Galleries, N.Y. label on the base of one of the busts, purchased in 1980, other purchased in 1981 from Alexander Gallery, New York . Property of a Dearborn, MI private collection.
