Geometrically and intricately carved from wood cigar boxes or orange crates. Circa 1900 - 1920. Hinged cover. Lavender velvet panels inset in cover and four side panels. Gilt metal side handles and at the center of the lid. Bracket feet. Date "1901" on facade. Mirror on inside of cover. Vanity case or jewel box. Estate of Jack Faxon.
