GROUP OF TWO UTAGAWA KUNIYOSHI (JAPANESE, 1797-1861), WOODBLOCK PRINTS, 1852, H 14 1/8", L 9 1/2":A group of two woodblock prints (nishiki-e) depicting two actors from the series "Views of Fuji from the Eastern Capital and Calligraphic Models for Each Character in the Kana Syllabary". Signed with seal and bearing censor’s seals. One print having some minor loss to the left side of the paper sheet, both show some marginal staining and toning. Generally appears to have good to fine impressions, color, and condition.
