PURE SILVER, APPEARS AS DOUBLE DD,BY TILTING THE COIN 1964-DD:Gilroy Roberts, chief engraver of the mint in 1963, designed the obverse of this coin. His stylized initials are on the truncation of the forceful bust of President John F. Kennedy. The 1964-D mint mark was struck by error at the mint. 'DD' . Double. Frank Gasparro designer of the reverse, which uses the presidential coat of arms for the motif is the work of F. Gasparro. (Net weight .36169 oz. pure sterling silver). Diameter 39.6mm; reeded edge. Mint: Denver. Almost appears as a double 'DD' error coin. Njd.
