U.S. L.G. & Y. WINDSOR, VT., .58 CAL PERCUSSION CAP RIFLE, C1863, L 40" BBL:U.S. L.G. & Y. ( Lamson, Goodnow & Yale), percussion cap rifle,40" bbl, two leaf rear sight with full walnut stock, barrel bands and shoulder strap rings, percussion cap action, U.S. L.G. & Y. on lock plate, steel butt plate with U.S. and A33 on butt plate tang. Steel ram rod. '30' cartouche on shoulder stock. Includes socket bayonet with 18" blade and 'U.S.' at base of blade. 50,000 of these rifles were manufactured.
Heavy patina and scratches and abrasions to wood due to use. Two leaf rear sight cannot be adjusted due to corrosion.
