U.S. SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1862 PERCUSSION CAP RIFLE, L 39 1/2" BBL:.65 caliber. "1862" stamped on lock plate. Proof marks on barrel "VP". Sear marked "I" or "H". Having full length stock and ram rod. Socket bayonet marked "U.S." and "8". Dry leather sheath.
5" sliver of wood missing under barrel. Several gouge and scratches.
