UTAGAWA KUNISADA I (JAPANESE, 1786-1864), COLOR WOODBLOCK PRINT, C. 1857, H 14 1/4", W 9 3/4":A Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) (Japanese, 1786-1864) colored woodblock print titled "Actors Nakamura Fukusuke I as Nuregami and Ichikawa Ichizô III as Hanaregoma". Circa 1857. Signed with toshidama cartouche reading "Toyokuni-ga" and bearing censor’s seals: aratame and Snake 8 blockcutter’s mark. Print: 14 1/4" x 9 3/4", paper: 15" x 10 3/4".

Condition

With some marginal staining and toning. With one small printing fault to actor's blue sleeve. Generally appears to have very good to fine impressions, color, and condition.
