VALERY KONEVIN (USSR, B. 1952), OIL ON CANVAS, 1992, H 27", W 39", "THE LOVERS':Abstract. Signed at lower right and also on verso. Valery Konevin was born 16 July 1952 in Leningrad. He had a science career which he dropped in 1980, to enter the Art Academy in Leningrad. He took part in Underground art activity and was forced to leave USSR in 1990. Purchased at Safrai, 19 King David St.. Jerusalem.
