Signed and dated in the lower right. 3/4 length nude portrait of a woman. Hand-carved and painted frame by fellow Detroit artist Edgar Yaegar (1904-1997), H 27", W 23.25". Vetold Pasternacki was a Detroit-born artist who studied at the John Wicker Art School, Detroit and the Academie Moderne, Paris. He was a member of the Scarab Club, Detroit, and exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, Paris, 1929. The Art Institue of Chicago, 1939. The Detroit Institue of Art, 1930-45. Provenance: Property from an Indian Village, Detroit, MI private collector.
