VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE AND CRYSTAL LAMP, H 30", DIA 13":Probably American, late 19th century. With cut glass shade and front, resting on top of a base decorated with two winged seahorses and engraved with foliate bands, raised on four feet. Unmarked.
Condition
With wear and tarnishing to the silver plate (MK). One tooth is chipped off at the top of the shade. The central glass body, of the lamp, is good. There are NO marks on the burner assembly. The oil font has 2 holes in it. The lamp has been wired for electricity. The oil cap on the font is missing. The knob that would adjust the wick is missing. The lamp has been wired through the burner, NOT THROUGH THE BASE OF THE LAMP. So if you wanted to convert it back to an oil burning lamp, you would need to replace the burner and the oil font.
