A vintage Louis Vuitton Courier Trunk, with the serial number 834974 on the printed label with, Louis Vuitton, Paris - 70 Champs Élysées,149 New Bond St. London, Nice 2 Albert Jardin Albert, Cannes 10 Rue Des Belges, Vichy Rue Du Parc.
The interior roof lining is crisscrossed with ecru ribbons that have Louis Vuitton embroidered on them. There are 2 interior trays that stack on top of each other. The straps on the trays have slide buckles that are engraved 'Louis Vuitton Brevette'.
The exterior has a single central lock with clasps on the right and left side. The central lock has the 'LV' logo within a circle. The exterior has the coated 'LV' monogram canvas. Every rivet on the exterior of the trunk is engraved, 'Louis Vuitton'. The top of the trunk has the initials B. T. C. F. in green and there is a green stripe around the middle of the trunk.
The consignor came to ownership of the trunk by his mother. She worked for Joan French and Joan gave the trunk to her. Joan French was the daughter of Thelma Irene Chrysler and Byron C. Foy. Thelma was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Walter P. Chrysler, of the Chrysler Motor Car Corporation.
Thelma and Byron were married in "1924".
The initials on the top of the trunk stand for Byron and Thelma C. Foy.
The trunk has 2 keys for the center lock.
