Hand painted. Silk lined. Possible signature at underside of cover. Satin glass lined. Molded in swirl motif. Gilt metal rim. Wavecrest, by C. F. Monroe decorated opaque white glass beginning in the 1880s in Meriden, Connecticut. Many of the glass pieces were made by Pairpont Manufacturing Company , in Sagamore, Massachusetts.
