WILLIAM SANDERS FANNING (AMERICAN, 1887-1966), OIL ON CANVAS, C.1929, H 24", W 20", CORK TOWN:Signed in the lower left corner and inscribed on verso: "Cork Town, circa 1929, Detroit, Michigan. William Fanning was an early Detroit modernist".
There is crackling; also speckled losses of paint in the lower right section. Appears to have been cleaned.
