A Winchester Model 1873 'King's Improvement', .44-40 cal lever-action rifle. Having a walnut stock and forearm, 24" round barrel and a 15 round tubular magazine. Steel butt plate.and an adjustable rear sight and iron front sight. Marked 'Model 1873' on the top tang at the wrist. Serial number 97915A marked on the bottom tang rear of the lever and dates the firearm to 1882. Antique black powder no firearms paperwork required.
