A richly painted work of a Ming Dignitary seated and wearing a richly embroidered rob of dragons in clouds. With 森 and 寿 to lower right: forest and lifespan. Interpreted as having a long life as the forest. Provenance: The Estate of Nicholas and Anne Herceg, Detroit, MI. Purchased in 1945 on a visit to San Francisco, CA. By descent to their son.
Very minor cracking due to the work likely having been rolled as a scroll and framed.
