14KT YELLOW GOLD, RUBY & DIAMOND EVENING BAG, C. 1900, W 5 7/8":A 14kt yellow gold mesh bag with link handle, finger ring, and filigree frame with floral motif, set with three rubies 1 1/4 CT center,1/2 CT each rubies and six diamonds 1 1/4 cts, the clasp inset with two cabochon rubies. Not marked. Measures W.5 7/8" (9 3/4" widest) x 5 3/4" (11 3/4" to the handle). Weighs approximately 271 grams total.
Condition
Tests as 14kt gold. The mesh is pulling overall with very fine holes forming; it appears a small repair was made to the mesh below one hinge.
