MORGENROTH GERNRODE 12 GAUGE, DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN, C1890, L 31" BBL:'Morgenroth in Gernrode', 12 gauge, double barrel shotgun having 31" Damascus barrels, checkered walnut shoulder stock with cheek plate and checkered splinter forearm. Pivoting barrel release at forearm made of horn. Also horn grip at bottom of wrist and rear of trigger guard. Engraved silver receiver and tangs depicting upland game scenes. Exposed engraved hammers, dual triggers. Fine gold strip inlays at butt of barrel at receiver. Shoulder strap rings. F. Morgenroth is documented in Gernrode, Germany from 1840-1850. Soft carry case.
