Unsigned. A faithful 18th c. rendition of a work believed to have been in the private collection of E.Z.I. de Neuf, Lord of Burcht in the 18th c.. This work depicts the climax of the story from antiquity of Prince Antiochus and his step mother Stratonice by his side as the court physician Erasistratus takes his pulse. The original of this work was sold at Christies, London Old Masters sale on July 7, 2016, Lot 11. Provenance: Property from the collection of Peter Frantz (1921-2019), Bay City, MI. By family descent.
