BAULE CARVED WOOD FEMALE ANCESTOR FIGURE, REPUBLIC OF IVORY COAST, H 17 1/2":Carved wood statue of a standing female with high forehead and almond eyes, her hands have elongated fingers and rest on her swollen abdomen, scarification marks on her face and body. Measuring H.17 1/2" x 3" x 4", approximately. Alternate spelling: Baoule; Cote d'Ivoire, Africa.
Several fine cracks overall and wear to the patina likely from handling (apparent in the photos provided).
