Bob Rimes (1993-2016) was a native of Michigan and joined the staff of WWJ-Radio, Detroit after receiving his master's degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University (he wrote his thesis on WWJ's beginnings as the first radio station in the United States). It was during his tenure at WWJ that he became friends with Harry Wayne, Art Director at WWJ. His next position was with KDKA Pittsburgh (which also claimed to be the first radio station in the United States). His position at KDKA allowed him to travel to London with Clark Race and "Murray the K" Kaufmann to not only strengthen the station's ties with Epstein, but also to document this event.
