Having original signatures of Paul McCartney, Ringo Star, George Harison, and John Lennon. Autographs obtained by disc jockey Clark Race of KDKA Radio, Pittsburgh. Clark Race interviewed the band prior to their April 28,1964 appearance on the ITV television special "Around the Beatles" at Wembley Park Studios, London. Included in this lot is a hand signed typed letter from Bob Rimes of KDKA Radio explaining the circumstances of this autographed photo (and others) to Harry Wayne, Art Director of WWJ-TV, Detroit. Also includes original postmarked envelope that contained the letter and images (see next lots) from Rimes to Wayne. The Beatles manager, Brian Epstein invited Clark Race and "Murray the K" Kaufmann to London to interview the band prior to their appearance on the television special and Bob Rimes accompanied Clark Race on the trip and documented the interviews.

Bob Rimes (1993-2016) was a native of Michigan and joined the staff of WWJ-Radio, Detroit after receiving his master's degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University (he wrote his thesis on WWJ's beginnings as the first radio station in the United States). It was during his tenure at WWJ that he became friends with Harry Wayne. His next position was with KDKA Pittsburgh (which also claimed to be the first radio station in the United States) that allowed him to travel to London with Clark Race and "Murray the K" Kaufmann.

This photograph is an iconic image taken by Hoffman and was likely given to the interviewers as a publicity still by Brian Epstein or a member of his staff.
