CANADIAN SCHOOL, OVAL OIL ON CANVAS, C. 1850, H 30", W 25", DENSE FOREST SCENE:Unsigned; original gilt molded gesso over wood frame. Provenance: Zoli Antiques, Windsor, Ontario, then passed down in the family (family owned Zoli Antiques).
As viewed under UV light in the unopened frame: appears to be UV clean; small hole at top center; stretcher bar cracking of the paint and overall craquelure with slight instability; not lined or patched.
