A Chinese archaic glazed red earthenware covered lian (model of an incense burner). Having a green lead glaze. Presented on three figural bear-shaped feet. Total weight: 3,057 grams. Circa mid-1st to late 2nd century C.E. Provenance: Collection of Cruse W. and Virginia Patton Moss, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Condition

With chips to the edges and associated losses to the glaze. With structural cracks to the basin.
