CHINOISERIE HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN VASE AND PITCHER 2, H 11", 8 1/2":A pair of chinoiserie hand-painted porcelain objects, comprising: a Chinese cylindrical brush pot decorated with a blue and red foo dog motif, Chinese characters near rim, and gilt edging to rim. With red Chinese character marks to underside, h. 11", Dia. 4 3/4", and a chinoiserie porcelain enameled pitcher finely decorated in blue and polychrome enamels with dense floral decoration and gilt highlights throughout, h. 8 1/2", Dia. 5 3/4". From the Estate of Daniel Clancy, Voltaire Place, Grosse Pointe Farms.

Condition

The brush pot with isolated instances of small dark firing imperfections throughout and small instances of loss to decoration and Chinese characters. The pitcher having restoration to interior and loss to gilt detailing throughout, but especially concentrated on rim and handle.
