DUTCH WILLIAM III .833 SILVER SCENT BOX, C. 1861, H 2", L 1 1/4", D 1 1/4":A Dutch William III Second Standard (.833) Silver Scent Box. Unknown maker's mark, 1861. With assay office mark - the head of Minerva with helm. Various marks rubbed and worn.
The sent box is misshapen all over due to dents throughout. The silver has begun cracking at the corners of the lid. There is a deposit of yellow grime to the bottom of the piece. With scratches and marks consistent with age and use.
