The East India Government carbine lock is stamped "Birmingham 1869" and also a crown over "E.I.G". The wood stock is also stamped with the crown over E.I.G.. Having a side saddle ring, fixed notch rear sight, swivel ramrod, brass butt plate and trigger guard. The accompanying pistol is stamped "1858 Tower", any other stamps are no longer visible. Having a fixed notch rear sight, swivel ramrod, brass trigger guard and butt plate with lanyard ring.
