ENGLISH DAWSON & CO, PEARL WARE OVAL PLATTER, W 12", L 15":A Dawson & Company pearlware oval platter. English, 19th century. An oval platter having a shell-molded rim, feather-incised edge, and painted with a blue band to the rim. With impressed "Dawson" to underside. Width 11 3/4", length 15 1/4".
Surface with some discoloration, wear, and scratches. Crazing, some cracks, and isolated firing blisters throughout. With isolated grime deposits, especially to underside.
