English George III Mahogany & Satinwood Parquetry Sideboard, 1760-1790, H 38" L 84.125" D 30"

The sideboard offers a serpentine front above central drawer flanked by two book-matched cellarette drawers. The drawers offer cockbeading to all sides. The sideboard boasts a satinwood inlay of satin string parquetry and a rosewood border. Presented on six straight tapered legs with canted feet. With hand casted brass octagonal handles, each drawer with an escutcheon. Two cellarette deep drawers have lead lined bottle sleves. Circa 1760 to 1790. Condition

Having the quirks of a beloved antique sideboard. No notable losses or demerits observed, relative ot age and use. A handsome, stately piece of furniture. When viewed under the sideboard, professional restoration is observed (c. 19th century). The front-facing right side edge and front-facing left back edge of the tabletop has losses to the parquetry and cockbeading.
