Having a black patina. Depicting a Grecian woman holding a letter and standing near a pedestal. This work was likely influenced by Jean Jacques Pradier's (FR 1790-1852) "Sappho" . Marked on the base VRAI Bronze Garanti Paris. Stamped "Pradier" on the base in front of the woman's left foot. Also stamped "Bouret" on the left side of the base. Stamped B.L. on the underside. Provenance: Property of a Bloomfield Hills, MI private collector.
