Framed U.S. 1879 Silver Dollar With Newspaper Clipping, H 4.5'' W 7.75'' A framed U.S. 1879 silver dollar with a newspaper clipping explaining that this coin was sent via the U.S. postal system without an envelope by a Miss Verne Rupp, a novel concept at the time. The coin still retains the postage stamp, also framed is the address line that was pasted to the coin.
Tarnishing to the coin, rips to the framed paper elements.
