Watts, a Royal Academy artist, depicting figures in a forest landscape adjacent to a running brook. No signature observed. Bearing a McClees Gallery, 1807 Walnut St. of Philadelphia paper label to the verso. Frame measures H 27.5" x L 37.5".
When viewed under UV light, spot-cleaned varnish fluoresced. A minor degree of inpainting fluoresced, notably to the lower right quadrant. Having a tight network of crackling throughout.
