GILT PASTORAL PIER MIRROR AND MARBLE TOP CONSOLE, 2 PIECES, H 10':A gilt pier mirror and matching console table; the crest of the mirror with a young boy next to sheep, trailing wheat and fruit branches frame the mirror. The console with two sheep at the center apron, surrounded by a matching motif of wheat and flowering fruit branches. Measures approximately H.9' 9" x 37" overall; the mirror measures H.87" x 34"; the console measures H.30" x 37" x 13". From The George and Penny Simon Collection, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.
The gilt on the mirror has multiple small chips overall, also the tips of a few leaves at the crest are chipped. The table has cracking, fragile gesso overall and mulitple losses to the apron. Ad
