GROUP OF AMERICAN & EUROPEAN COIN SILVER FIDDLE-HANDLE SPOONS, LATE 18TH-20TH C., 22 PIECES:Comprised of various types of spoons, including tea spoons, table spoons, and serving spoons. Almost all pieces monogrammed. Makers include: Charles Hequembourg Jr., Clark & Bros., Ira Strong Town, John Sayre, Reed & Barton, Reed, Slader & Co., Samuel Kirk, and Tanner & Cooley. Also includes: (1) probably German spoon with "12" Loth mark and "Sorge" stamped to reverse, (1) spoon stamped "Sigler & Gillett" to reverse, (1) spoon tentatively attributed to William Wallace Willard, with maker's mark of shield containing three W's to reverse, (6) serving spoons with unidentified maker's marks and "E. Cook" to reverse, three spoons are engraved with "Sarah Briggs" to terminal, and the last spoon with monogram to terminal, (2) serving spoons with four unidentified maker's marks, retailed by "M.S. Smith & Co.", (1) serving spoon with three illegible marks, retailed by "M.S. Smith & Co.", and (1) serving spoon marked "W. Whitaker". Weighting 28.90 troy ounces.

Condition

Some spoons with dents and cracks to bowls. All with varying degrees of surface scratches and marks consistent with age and use. Many marker's marks are worn and some are illegible
