GROUP OF AMERICAN & EUROPEAN COIN SILVER FIDDLE-HANDLE SPOONS, LATE 18TH-20TH C., 37 PIECES:Makers include: B. Leavenworth, Charles Farquharson, Everard Benjamin, George Ferris, Henry Harper, Ira Strong Town, J.S. Farr, Johnathan Packard, Joseph Fulton, Palmer & Bachelders, Reed, Slader & Co., T. Cook, T.B. Leavenworth, Whiting Manufacturing Co.. Lot also includes (20) various sized spoons with unknown makers, including: (1) spoon with "J.S. Farr" stamped to terminal reverse, (1) salt spoon with unidentified pictorial mark to reverse, in the shape of a star, (1) possibly William Rogers spoon, with "S. Wilcox" and marks of a "P" an eagle, and a star on terminal reverse, (1) spoon attributed to unidentified American Midwest silvermaker, (1) spoon stamped with symbol of shield surrounding three W’s, possibly William Wallace Willard, (1) spoon stamped with London hallmarks and "Cumingham", (1) spoon stamped with unknown maker’s marks and "R. Barnam", (1) spoon stamped with London hallmarks and unknown maker’s mark, (1) serving spoon, maker unknown, probably retailed by "E. Cook", (1) serving spoon with unknown maker, stamped "MU" and "13" to terminal reverse, (1) serving spoon with unknown maker, having rubbed marks and stamped "WB", as well as various spoons with illegible or rubbed marks. Most monogrammed. Weighing approximately 21.32 troy ounces.

Condition

Some spoons with dents and cracks to bowls. All with varying degrees of surface scratches and marks consistent with age and use. Many marker's marks are worn and some are illegible.
