Signed and dated 1942 in the lower left. Depicting the docks and ships of a commercial fishery. Provenance: The estate of a prominent Bloomfield Hills, MI collector. By descent to consignor. Frame (bearing Hudson's Fine Art & Framing label) dimensions: 28" X 32". Until this collection came to market, little was known of Harry Long. The label on the verso of another work confirms that the artist was living in Detroit and active in Michigan in the mid 20th c.
